Reading Goals for Kids
A reading goal does not need complicated tracking. Families can create a recurring task around reading time, pages, chapters or another expectation that makes sense at home.
Parent Quest records task completion within the family's normal routine; it does not assess reading ability or replace educational guidance.
Keeping the wording simple can make a big difference. A specific task such as “put your school bag by the door” is easier to act on than a broad instruction such as “get ready.” Parents can edit tasks whenever the routine changes.
