Home and School can act as useful routine boundaries for a connected child phone. Trusted adults can receive place-based updates and then open the private Family Map only when they need additional context.
The boundary event depends on location reports from the phone. Weak signal, GPS variation, permissions, battery-saving behaviour and operating-system restrictions can all change when an update is detected.
Family information stays inside the parent-managed Guardian family rather than a public profile or social map. Geofencing provides useful context, not guaranteed tracking, and Guardian is not an emergency service.
