Most families looking into Guardian features are not trying to watch a phone from morning until night. They usually want a calmer answer to a practical question: bringing maps, alerts, history, status and SOS into one private family. Guardian is designed around that idea.

When Guardian is being used for Guardian’s main family-location features, phone-location readings still have practical limits. GPS can drift around buildings, mobile signal can weaken, and permissions, battery-saving settings or operating-system restrictions can delay background updates. The information is therefore best treated as useful family context rather than exact proof of somebody’s position or timing. Notification delivery can also be affected by device and network conditions, while Guardian’s SOS feature gives a connected child device another way to alert trusted adults rather than replacing emergency services.
