Parents can use the Family Map, Home and School alerts, device status and SOS tools without creating public profiles or putting family location into a social feed.
Adult location sharing is separate from the child-device connection. Parents can choose whether their own position is shared instead of being required to participate in two-way location sharing.
The connected phone’s location can still be affected by GPS conditions, connectivity, permissions and battery restrictions. Guardian provides family context and communication tools but is not an emergency service.
