Home and School alerts can provide routine milestones without requiring trusted adults to watch the map throughout the day. Adult location sharing remains optional, so parents decide separately whether they want to share their own positions.
Battery, permissions, connectivity, background activity and operating-system restrictions can all affect how recently a phone has reported. That is why update context matters alongside the map itself.
Guardian cannot promise perfectly live or exact family locations and notification delivery may also vary with device conditions. It is a family coordination tool, not an emergency service.

No. Guardian shows available phone-location information, and reporting frequency depends on each device’s connectivity, permissions, background activity and battery conditions.
Do parents have to share their own location to use family location features?

Why are device conditions important when looking at the Family Map?
