Help regular chores build towards a bigger reward

A child may be working towards something that would not make sense as the reward for one quick job. Coins allow several chores to contribute gradually instead of turning every task into a separate prize.

Parents decide which chores earn coins and which remain normal family responsibilities. That flexibility helps keep the system useful without attaching a reward to absolutely everything.

The amount of progress attached to a selected chore can stay entirely within the family’s control. Parents can change their approach as responsibilities change without treating the coins as currency or turning every household contribution into a transaction.

Not every chore needs a coin value. The parent chooses when reward coins are useful and when a task should simply remain part of the normal routine.
