When the phone moves into or out of one of those configured areas, Guardian can provide an arrival or leaving update to trusted adults in the private family. The Family Map remains available when the alert needs more context.
A geofence is based on phone location rather than an exact physical checkpoint. GPS conditions, connectivity, permissions, battery optimisation and background restrictions can all affect when a boundary event is detected.
Adult location sharing is optional, and Guardian cannot guarantee perfectly timed alerts or exact positioning. It supports ordinary family communication but is not an emergency service.
