Parents keep control over whether their own location is shared. Adult location sharing remains optional, and family access should be reviewed whenever somebody no longer needs to see the child-device information.
A private family locator still depends on the connected phone for location reporting, so GPS, permissions, connectivity and battery conditions can affect accuracy and timing. Guardian is not an emergency service.
