What happens after a child presses SOS
The purpose of the alert is to help the family recognise that the child is asking for attention and decide what to do next. Depending on the situation, that may mean calling the child, contacting another trusted adult or taking further action outside Guardian.
The information attached to an SOS alert is still phone-based. GPS conditions, signal, location permissions, battery restrictions and connectivity can affect what is available and how quickly it is reported.
Notification delivery and location accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Guardian does not automatically contact emergency services and is not an emergency service; if somebody may be in immediate danger, emergency services should be contacted directly.
