What parents receive when a safe-zone event occurs
The notification tells the trusted adult which connected child device triggered the place event and whether the phone crossed into or out of that safe-zone area.
For an ordinary school run or journey Home, the alert may be all the context a parent needs. The Family Map can still be opened when plans change, an expected update is late or more detail is useful.
Place alerts rely on the phone’s available location reports, so GPS, signal, permissions and battery restrictions can affect timing. Guardian is not an emergency service and does not guarantee immediate notification delivery.
